Originally founded as Automotive Products in 1920, classic British cars are where we began, and over the years we’ve supplied braking systems for classics like the Morris Minor and the Mini. We still build a range of parts – master cylinders, remote servos, and cast iron calipers – for many historic and classic cars, including Daimlers, Fords, Jaguars, Jensons, MGs, and Rileys.

Following acquisition by Liberty the original brakes business was re-branded to 920Engineering (920E) and joined by Clydesdale Jones, a specialist off-highway manufacturer, it now forms part of our diversified vehicle technology division.

Recognising the growing importance of electronics, we now offer complex control electronics solutions as part of Shiftec which is founded in gearshift and clutch control solutions for motorsport. This has now grown to include brake, steer, and clutch-by-wire, as well as steering and motor control solutions for a wide range of products.

From bespoke solutions for niche manufacturers to the high-volume production of standard parts, everything we do is in-house, so we’re able to stay flexible and fluid in the products we make.

We don’t copy and we don’t re-manufacture. Every part we make is individually designed and tested for its specific application.
