The standard APS is fitted with a high filtration filter element which is mounted directly on to the front of the compressor.

In certain situations, it may be desirable to mount this filter away from the APS in an area of fresher air, or there may be a requirement for extra fine filtration if there are particularly dusty or sandy conditions.
